Account Manager

As an Account Manager you will take responsibility for the management and successful completion of key projects within an account, ensuring that internal teams make appropriate, timely contributions so our projects exceed our clients’ expectations. Our Account Managers, working closely with an Account Director and supported by Account Executives, are responsible for all aspects of a project including budgeting, briefing, scheduling, delivery and reconciliations, while also identifying and developing opportunities for organic growth. We’re looking for an Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - someone who is proactive, confident, and quick to build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
The role will involve:
- Client liaison and relationship development
- Creating accurate estimates and timelines for a range of project types
- Day-to-day running of projects in line with budget and schedule
- Leading client discussions to achieve objectives
- Briefing content, creative and digital teams including resource scheduling and management
- Presenting ideas, proposals or capabilities to clients during pitches
- Keeping budgets and resourcing up to date and accurate to feed into our short term and long-term forecast and planning
- Ensuring costs are correctly logged to each project and invoices are raised in a timely manner
- Mentoring of one or more Account Executives, leading to line management responsibilities
In order to succeed in this role, you will need the following:
- You need to be a go-getter. Someone who is proactive, confident, and quick to build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent, preferably in biomedical sciences
- Proven experience in medical communications, medical education, medical publishing or healthcare advertising
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Prior experience in the field of immunology, cardiometabolic disease, neurology or oncology would be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
