Drive high‑impact medical comms projects, build strong client partnerships, and grow with a purpose‑driven scientific team.
Account Manager 2
As an Account Manager 2, you will take responsibility for the management and successful completion of key projects within an account, ensuring that internal teams make appropriate, timely contributions so our projects exceed our clients’ expectations. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience at Account Manager level who has demonstrated strong capability in project and client management and is now looking for a step up, but is not yet ready for Senior Account Manager responsibilities.
Our Account Managers, working closely with an Account Director and supported by Account Executives, are responsible for all aspects of a project including budgeting, briefing, scheduling, delivery and reconciliations, while also identifying and developing opportunities for organic growth. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment — proactive, confident, and quick to build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
The role will involve:
Client liaison and relationship development
Creating accurate estimates and timelines for a range of project types
Day-to-day running of projects in line with budget and schedule
Leading client discussions to achieve objectives
Briefing content, creative and digital teams including resource scheduling and management
Presenting ideas, proposals or capabilities to clients during pitches
Keeping budgets and resourcing up to date and accurate to feed into short-term and long-term forecasting and planning
Ensuring costs are correctly logged to each project and invoices are raised in a timely manner
Mentoring one or more Account Executives, progressing toward line management responsibilities
In order to succeed in this role, you will need:
A proactive, confident approach and the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent, preferably in biomedical sciences
Proven experience within Medical Affairs in a Medical Communications agency setting
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organisational skills
Prior experience in immunology, cardiometabolic disease, neurology or oncology would be advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
A minimum of one year’s experience at Account Manager level, with the ambition to progress and take on wider responsibility
